ROOF INSTALLATION

The process of installing your new roof will be unique to the type of roof you need, but you can rest assured you’re home is in the capable hands of our highly skilled team.

New Roof Installation

Pitched Roof Installation

Pitched roofs are the most common type of roofs in the UK. Although they look simple enough, it takes a skilled craftsman to install a pitched roof correctly that will not only be attractive, but secure your home from the elements. We offer several types of pitched roofs in a number of tiles and slate styles and colours to perfectly compliment your home.

    Flat Roof Installation

Flat roofing is becoming much more popular due to the lower costs compared to a traditional pitched roof. Historically, flat roofing was only recommended in areas with lower rainfall, but due to enhancements in drainage systems, and the lower cost compared to traditional pitched roofs, its usage is becoming increasingly popular. We offer our flat roof installation in 3 different colours to compliment your home, garage, or any building that needs a cost effective, durable solution.

      Fibre Glass Roof Installation

A correctly laid fibreglass roof, also known as GRP Roofing, should last for at least 30 years with no measurable deterioration in quality and performance. When we install a Fibre glass roof, they are completely waterproof, contain no seams or welds, maintenance free, and strong enough to be walked on. Our fibre glass roofing systems are available in a wide range of colours to compliment your home or building and can be installed in just one day which makes them the perfect choice for a fast and durable solution.

        A Step by Step Guide

        Surveying Your Roof

The first step towards a beautiful new roof installation is when you call us for a free, no obligation roof inspection. Our experienced roof installers will conduct a thorough survey to evaluate the best type of roof to protect your home. We will discuss the various options from a new pitched roof, flat roof, fibre glass roof or other in order to give you all possible options. Once the survey is complete, we will give you a quotation so you can make an informed decision about the type of roof we will be installing in your home.

The final decision to proceed with your new roof installation rests entirely with you. Our knowledgeable staff will be available to answer your questions or address any concerns you may have – without any sales pressure whatsoever.

        Access Equipment

Strict adherence to safety regulations is vital with any roof installation project. We use specially designed access equipment to ensure the safe and proficient installation of your Roofline products.

        Roof Preparation

Before beginning work on your roof, our installation team will carry out a comprehensive safety assessment to ensure that there are no safety or health concerns.

Next, we will spare no detail when preparing your roof and home. We will take care to cover and protect any exposed areas such as your flower beds, lawn, driveway, patio, conservatory and decking with sheets of PVC.

We will carefully repair or replace any cracked or broken roof tiles, replace broken pointing and restore and seal the lead flashing. These repairs are included in the total cost of your roof restoration.

Gutters and drains will be covered or disconnected to avoid any blockages during and after the cleaning process.

        Asbestos Removal

If there is any indication of the presence of asbestos, our surveyor will send a sample of the material in question to be analysed in an approved laboratory.

If the material is found to be asbestos insulation board, the next step is to have it removed by a specialty contractor who is licensed by the HSE.

Any asbestos waste will then be disposed of properly, in full compliance with safety standards set forth in the Special Waste Regulations.

        Installing Proper Ventilation

Without correct installed ventilation in your home, attics trap warm, moist air and cause a host of problems. This air can cause wood to rot or warp and it can mean that on a hot day, even as the air conditioning blasts, the attic is working against it to keep hot air in. At the same time, too much ventilation, or ventilation in the wrong places, will allow too much air to leave the house, making the air conditioning and heating systems far less efficient.

        Installing Your Roof

The process of installing your new roof will be unique to the type of roof you choose.

The process is difficult to explain in detail here, but as a rough guide, a pitched roof will take the longest amount of time, whereas a fibre glass roof will take the shortest. This does not necessarily mean any difference in quality as all our roof installations come with a 6 year peace of mind guarantee.

        The Clean Up

Once your roof restoration is complete, our crew will clear away all waste materials and ensure that your property is left in pristine condition.

We will check gutters and downpipes to be sure they are free from blockage and are water tight.

Your windows, patios, driveway and paths will be washed down and swept clean. All debris will be removed from the site and disposed of, so all you have to do is admire your beautiful new roof.
